I pinned this cleaner recipe twice, once here and another time here. I haven't been using oranges that often because they make me a little congested and I didn't just want to use the peels and throw the rest away. Then I got sick and needed my elixir of grapefruit and ginger, so I decided now was the time to make the cleaner.
I didn't leave it in the peels for 2 weeks. It already smelled great after a few days. I've been cleaning things just to smell this stuff. Next time I want to put some ginger, thyme or cardamom in with it and see how that smells. I'm sure the woodier the ingredients the longer you have to let them sit.
